Steam runs horribly slowly on my PC, so downloading a mb patch will take forever. Is there any chance that the patches will be uploaded elsewhere, or is there something about Steam that prevents that? It's a shame that Steam is so completely essential for everything here. The DLC is going to be a huge problem if you can't get it offline.
Why would steam "run" slowly, but not downloading the file elsewhere? That's what I did with FO3's patches. This doesn't seem possible with Steam.

Download it to your Mac, then plug in a 16GB USB stick and transfer the game files to the stick, then transfer it to the required file spot on your PC. All you need to do then is verify the data cache and hope to hell none of it got corrupted somehow. I've done something similar and it works Change language. Install Steam.
